Company Information

The Chappy Corporation began nearly forty two years ago, by Charles Colbert, as a small one man electrical service company. A few years after starting Chappy; Charlie's brother Ed joined the company bringing his extensive utility and high voltage experience. As time moved on and the company grew; Charlie and Ed, began completing small public projects; at first locally and then in multiple states across the country with more and more electricians being hired.

Over the years the company has evolved into a leader in the electrical power distribution, security, fire alarm, communications, mechanical and utility construction fields. As the workload grew, so did the company; more heavy equipment, machinery, manpower, project managers, accountants, estimators and assistants to handle the demanding workload. Now working in numerous states along the eastern seaboard the company continues to grow and move into the 21 century.

In early 2003, Chappy welcomed Robert Garcia to its team. Retiring from the United States Coast Guard with 21 years of active service; Bob brought to Chappy extensive marine electrical system construction and leadership skills. Quickly recognizing his abilities to lead, manage and successfully run large projects Bob was promoted to Operations Manager.

In June of 2007 Bob purchased and became the majority stock holder and President of Chappy. Additionally in September of 2008, The Chappy Corporation became MBE and DBE Certified in the state of Massachusetts. From large scale multi million dollar project to local service calls, The Chappy Corporation performs all types of electrical construction.
